Suspended Floor Slabs
Post tensioned suspended concrete slabs offer the building owner larger spans and reduced structural depth which can result in less columns and buildings with greater tenancy flexibility.
The speed of construction for post tensioned concrete slabs combined with reduced material handling requirements makes post tensioned slabs more cost efficient than other forms of construction. Post tensioning can also offer benefits including concrete crack control, camber control and even water tight slabs if required.
Post tensioned suspended concrete slabs are designed utilising flat ducts with end anchorages containing up to 5 strand. The strands are stressed and anchored using wedge grips, the duct is then pressure grouted so that the strand are bonded to the surrounding concrete.
